Throwback To Lainey Wilson’s Awesome Cover Of Joe Diffie’s 1995 Hit “Bigger Than The Beatles”

Lainey Wilson country music

I have never heard a Lainey Wilson I didn’t like.

And her acoustic rendition of Joe Diffie’s 1995 hit “Bigger Than The Beatles” is just another example of her unique style highlighted by her strong, twangy vocals.

Written by Jeb Stuart Anderson and Steve Dukes, it was released in 1995 as the lead single from Joe’s Life’s So Funny album.

It peaked at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) chart, ultimately becoming the fifth and final #1 single of Diffie’s career.

Of course, Miss Lainey put her own spin on the song, but it’s always fun to revisit these covers from a few years ago, knowing now what a big star she is and continues to become.

I mean, the raw talent has always been there, and she nailed this:

And speaking of Lainey, she recently scored her third career #1 hit at country radio as “Heart Like a Truck” topped the country charts this past weekend.

It took the top spot on Mediabase, which is one of two radio charts labels use to officially track their songs performance (along with the Billboard Country Airplay chart).

Her song with Hardy, “Wait in the Truck,” also cracked the top five this week, so she might have another one one under her belt in the very near future…
