You never know what you’re going to see at Yellowstone National Park.

This video shows a flock of tourists stopped roadside watching a mother grizz with her cub. The cub is a fair size and probably about to part ways for a life of its own.

That doesn’t change the fact that you should stay extra clear of a mother and her cub, because it’s not going to end pretty when the mother bear’s protective instincts are going off.

The crowd of tourists start to get antsy and you see some vehicles bail as the bears approach the road, but it also looks like park rangers are in the area as well.

The vehicles that were close smartly back off as the bears make it roadside. You can see the mother bear jumps down and grabs some roadkill to take back for a snack.

All is well and good as the bears make way for higher ground.

According to the person filming,  the video was taken at bear Yellowstone Lake:

“Grizzly bears cause a ruckus in Yellowstone National Park. The mother grizzly and her cub walk on the hillside and the grizzly cub runs after some birds.

Then both bears start to make their way towards the road where a lot of tourists are parked to observe them.

At first it is not clear as to why they went down to the road with so many people in their way, but you soon see the mother grizzly grab the road kill and then run back up the hill.

She then gives the road kill to her cub to eat.”

Nonetheless, it shows that these bears are constantly in search of food and you should always be careful when encountering a grizzly.
