Bobcat Surprise Attacks A Fox Right In Front Of The Trail Cam

Fox bobcat

This is wild.

But, don’t mess with these wild kitties.

Bobcats are medium-sized wild cats that grow up to 3 feet long and up to 30 pounds. They are known for their spotted coats, tufted ears, and short tails.

Bobcats are skilled hunters and are known to take down prey that is much larger than themselves. They have sharp claws and powerful jaws that help them to hunt efficiently. Their diet includes a wide variety of prey, including rabbits, rodents, birds and even deer.

Foxes are members of the dog family that can weigh up to 15 pounds and measuring about 2 to 3 feet in length. Foxes are skilled predators too and their diet consists of a variety of prey, including small mammals, birds, and insects. They are also known to scavenge for food and will dead animals if it is available.

Bobcats and foxes don’t typically interact, ya know the whole cat and dog thing.  Bobcats are known to prey on foxes from time to time though.

This trail camera set up at a bait site caught some amazing footage. A red fox that came for a meal got a violent surprise.

Out of nowhere out of the dark a bobcat lunges full speed and the fox never stood a chance. It runs out of sight of the noises it makes behind the camera tells the story all on its own.

It’s a violent world out there in the wild.
