Hooked Mako Shark Breaks The Surface, And Then Immediately Comes In Flying Into The Boat

Mako Shark

Watch out for that.

I mean, there’s not much you can do when you don’t see it coming.

Mako sharks are one of the most powerful shark species in the world, known for their speed, agility, and fierce predatory instincts.

They are also one of the largest species of shark, with adult males reaching lengths of up to 12 feet and weighing over 1,000 pounds. Mako sharks are known for their streamlined bodies that allows them to swim at very fast speeds. They are able to swim at speeds of up to 60 miles per hour.

Considered to be one of the most dangerous sharks in the world, Makos are quite aggressive and can attack humans on rare occasions. However, they are not usually interested in humans as prey, but more so if they feel threatened or provoked.

And while attacks on humans are relatively rare, like any shark attack, they can be fatal. It is important for swimmers, surfers, and divers to be aware of the presence of mako sharks in the water and to take precautions to avoid them.

Makos have incredible ability to jump out of the water, sometimes flying several feet above the surface. They have jumped in boats before and it can be a dangerous situation due to their size and razor-sharp teeth.

These folks were out for a day on the water just casting some lines off the coast of Monhegan Island, Maine. One fisherman is seen reeling in a nice mako shark who breaks the surface quite a distance from the boat.

But in a flash, the shark comes flying into the boat. Everyone scatters and chaos ensues. It nearly lands on one guy and another is seen kicking it away.

That certainly put a damper on the fun… luckily the rod was connected to the fisherman and he didn’t lose it.

Now, they just have to figure out how to get the thing off their boat…
