Riley Green Teases Another New Song Called “Til You Gave One”

Though he doesn’t have very many, Riley Green’s love songs just hit different.

And he’s teasing a brand new one called “Til You Gave One,” which he shared an acoustic video of over on Instagram yesterday.

I always love when he does these simple, stripped back videos for fans to hear what he’s working on, and he  noted in the caption that he just penned this one last week.

The lyrics are solid, as he describes the fact that a special girl has come along and made him a better person, saying that he wasn’t “worth a damn til you gave one.”

Of course, his good old fashioned heartbreakers are always going to be my favorites, but it’s fun getting to hear about this side of him too:

“Cuz I was all out of road til you paved one
I didn’t have a prayer til you prayed one
Life didn’t make sense til you pulled me in,

And gave me a reason to make one
And I’ve  been for the better since day one
Cuz you got  way to shine light where there ain’t one
Guess you weren’t afraid to save one, cuz I wasn’t worth a damn til you gave one”

Make sure you check it out here:

“Here’s y’all a song I wrote last week. ‘Till you gave one.’ #weouthere #countrymusic”

And just a few weeks ago, he teased another one called “I Like to Think That”:

I’m hoping that all of this new music means Riley might be gearing up to put out some new music, because he released his debut studio album Different ‘Round Here way back in 2019, so I’d say we’re well overdue for a sophomore record or some sort of project any day now.

He put out a few one-off singles last year, which included “Miles on Main,” “Wild Woman,” “I Hope She’s Drinkin’ Tonight,” and “Get Back Home,” in addition to his We Out Here: Live album.

And he has so many more great unreleased songs fans have been begging to hear on a record for a while now, like “They Don’t Make Them Like That No More” and “Mississippi Or Me” just to name a few, and it feels like we might getting close to something now.

Riley also announced last week that he has a collab coming with Luke Combs in May, as the two are teaming up for a reimagined version of his song “Different ‘Round Here.”

Stay tuned…
