That would scare the life nearly out of ya.
These kitties of the woods ain’t nothing to mess with.
Canada Lynx is a medium-sized wild cat that can weigh over 20 pounds. They have a distinctive appearance with long legs, tufted ears and a bearded face. They have a thick coat of fur that is usually grayish-brown in color, with black tufts on the tips of their ears and a white underbelly. Their large paws are covered in fur, which helps them move across snow in the winter.
Lynx are excellent hunters that have high success. They use their keen senses to locate their prey, and their stealth and patience to stalk and pounce on them. Lynx also use their jumping abilities as an advantage using it to get on prey in a flash. They are known to jump up to 6 feet in a single leap.
Elusive and solitary animals like all other wild cats, they are generally not aggressive towards humans, but they will defend themselves if they feel threatened.
Driving through the woods always leads to the opportunity to see something cool. Roads act as a pathway for many animals.
This fella had the pleasure of coming across a lynx just chilling on the road. The man sits and appreciates the moment and captures a video of the rare encounter.
The lynx runs towards his truck and you can see it pause right next to the truck on the driver’s side. In a flash, it jumps up and lunges for the man’s window. It looks like the window was closed, but it’s hard to tell for sure… the man might’ve taken a paw to the arm.
“HOLY F*CK!”
You can also hear the predator call in the background so that’s more than likely the impetus for the aggressive behavior.
What a crazy encounter, this stuff definitely doesn’t happen every day.
