Chancey Williams’ “On The Tear Tonight” Is The Perfect Irish Country Drinking Tune To Fuel Your St. Patrick’s Day Shenanigans

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everybody.

And what better way to celebrate the day as a country fan, than downing a pints of Guinness and cranking up a country-fied Irish party song?

The rodeo saddle bronc rider turned country artist, Chancey Williams, dropped his festive boot stompin’ Irish jam “On The Tear Tonight” last year, and damn if it isn’t catchy as all hell.

Talk about a song that’ll get you in the jolly spirit for one of the best beer drinkin’ days on the planet, it’ll make you wish you were about 10 beers deep at an Irish pub (if you aren’t already).

Williams is quickly making a name for himself, and recently spent some time touring with the likes of Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Cody Johnson, and Aaron Watson.

And to piggyback off a stellar 2021, the man won 2022 Rocky Mountain CMA Entertainer of the Year, along with Songwriter of the Year, and Album of the Year.

The hard work has paid off and he continues to carry momentum into 2023. It was just announced that he’ll be making his Grand Ole Opry debut next month.

“It’s unbelievable. We’ve been fortunate to have a lot of great dates over the years. Growing up just a ranch kid from Wyoming, I never thought any of this would happen.

First, we got to play Cheyenne Frontier Days. Then, a couple years ago, we got the call for the Ryman Auditorium—that didn’t feel real either. Now we’re being invited to make our Grand Ole Opry debut—it’s like winning the lottery.

We all dream about it but not many people actually win. It’s the home of country music. Everyone I grew up idolizing has stood exactly where I’m about to be.”
