Chiefs TE Travis Kelce Hosts SNL, Stars In Hilarious “Straight Male Friend” Ad Spoof

The champ is in the building.

Kansas City Chiefs TE, and Super Bowl champ, Travis Kelce took over the hosting duties on Saturday Night Live last night, and as one of the NFL’s most charismatic characters, he did a pretty good job.

Country music’s own Kelsea Ballerini was the musical guest, but more on that later…

Granted, SNL pretty much sucks these days, and long gone are the days of comedy legends like Chris Farley, Will Ferrell, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, Eddie Murphy, John Belushi, and more.

But every so often, when they take a break from their one-sided, redundant political commentary, they can make you laugh.

Like here…

Honestly, their fake commercials are some of my favorite sketches over the years, and this one for a “straight male friend” is downright hilarious.

The premise is simple… sometimes, as a gay a man, you need a break from the drama and responsibilities of hanging out with your girl gang, and just need the surface-level friendship of a straight dude. You know, crush some wings, play video games, don’t talk about your feelings… that kinda thing.

“Does Straight Male Friend provide the same deep, rewarding relationship that I have with my girls? No.

Does Straight Male Friend know my last name? No. But that’s kind of the beauty of it.”

Pretty damn funny.
