Notre Dame Basketball Coach Mike Brey Rips Shots With Fans After Defeating Pittsburgh Last Night

Ya gotta love it when a coach decides to be a guy being a dude.

There hasn’t been much to cheer about when it comes to Notre Dame basketball this year. They’re 11-19 overall, and an awful 3-16 in ACC play, which is exceptionally bad for a program that’s been very competitive in the ACC since they joined.

In fact, things are going so rough that earlier this season Notre Dame and head basketball coach Mike Brey decided to mutually part ways after this season.

Although there’s been a lot of lowlights this season, there has been one positive…

And that’s the fact that they beat the ACC’s top team, the Pittsburgh Panthers, last night 88-81.

It came out of nowhere, considering how great Pitt has been playing as of late, and how terrible the Fighting Irish have been, but Notre Dame caught lightning in a bottle last night and got the W.

Needless to say, it finally gave Notre Dame basketball something to cheer about. And the one person who was probably celebrating the most?

No other than Mike Brey himself.

Before the game, he swore he would hit up the Linebacker Lounge for a few drinks in South Bend since it was the last home game of the season, and sure enough, he stayed true to his word.

He was seen slamming drinks at the bar, and was having himself a time and a half.

Video footage also showed him taking some shots of Jameson with some students, acting like he was just one of the boys.

Now it’s uncertain where Brey will land after this season, or if he’ll even go back to coaching at all.

Regardless, he ended his time in South Bend in style.
