Riley Green Teases A Brand New Tune Called “I Like to Think That”

I don’t know how much longer I can wait for Riley Green to drop some new music…

And today, he’s coming through with a new one called “I Like to Think That,” which he teased in an acoustic video over on Instagram.

It’s right in Riley’s wheelhouse, as he sings about how Waylon songs sound better on a jukebox, the fact that all dogs go to Heaven, and country music and Jesus are hopefully coming back:

“Here’s y’all a little bit of a song I just wrote called ‘I Like to Think That.’ I hope y’all dig. #brandnew #countrymusic #weouthere #rabbitfarm.”

Really, it’s been quite a while since we’ve gotten much brand new music from him at all, aside from a few one-off singles last year, which included “Miles on Main,” “Wild Woman,” “I Hope She’s Drinkin’ Tonight,” and “Get Back Home.”

He put out his Behind The Bar EP in 2021, as well as a live album last year, We Out Here: Live.

Riley released his debut studio album Different ‘Round Here way back in 2019, so I’d say we’re well overdue for a sophomore record any day now… and I’m more than ready for it.

He also recently teased a clip of the longtime fan-favorite “They Don’t Make Them Like That No More”:

He also played the full version on his Golden Saw Music Hall series (which he should really bring back for a third season, by the way) back in 2020:
