Larry Fleet Continues To Impress With New Singles, “Daddy Don’t Drink” & “Try Texas”

Larry Fleet country music

Larry Fleet keeps outdoing himself.

It feels like it was yesterday when the Tennessee native burst onto the scene with his 2020 smash hit “Where I Find God,” a song that gave us all a peace of mind when COVID first hit the U.S.

Fast forward three years, and for my money, Fleet is one of the most talented dudes in mainstream country music.

Known for his powerful, soulful vocals, I’m fully convinced Fleet could sing the ingredients on the back of a soup can, and make it sound like a number one hit.

The singer/songwriter dropped one of our favorite albums of 2021, Stack of Records, proving that he’s gonna be a mainstay in the Music City for years to come.

Since then, he’s released a live album, and a boot stompin’ ’90s country heater alongside Texas country powerhouse Mike Ryan, titled “Quittin’ Ain’t Workin’.”

With that being said, Fleet is ready to get things rolling again, as he dropped two incredible singles today, titled “Daddy Don’t Drink,” and “Try Texas.”

“Daddy Don’t Drink” is a beautiful, steel-soaked ode to his children, as he sings about how the birth of his kids is what ultimately led to him having no use for alcohol anymore.

Needless to say, it’ll make you shed a tear… or 12.

And next up is “Try Texas,” an up tempo feel good song about turning your cheek to all of the bad news that seems to endlessly show up on TV, and planning a little Texas getaway.
