Muscadine Bloodline Share Heartfelt Message Ahead Of ‘Teenage Dixie’ Release: “Reckless Abandonment Led To This”

The wait is almost over.

Muscadine Bloodline’s upcoming album, Teenage Dixie, is officially dropping tomorrow after much anticipation.

And needless to say, when you consider the impressive work with the singles from the project, like “Me On You,” “Evinrudin’,” “Cryin’ in a GMC,” “Made Her That Way,” the title track, and “Inconvenience Store,” this album is shaping up to be their best work to date, and that’s saying a lot, considering their 2022 Dispatch to 16th Ave. album was one of our favorites here at Whiskey Riff last year.

And not to mention, they also teased a sequel to the Charlie Daniel’s Band great, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”

Nevertheless, ol’ Charlie and Gary are finding ways to keep getting better and better, and the excitement for Teenage Dixie is through the roof.

With that being said, the boot stompin’ country duo shared a heartfelt message to fans before the upcoming release, saying:

“Well it goes like this …

We’ve been a band for 8 years. For 6 of those years, we had an identity crisis and were concerned with what Nashville thought about us. Then 2020 brought us off the road and ‘Disptach to 16th Ave.’ happened.

Looking back, it was the ‘enough is enough, no retreat, dying on the hill’ moment we needed. The reckless abandonment led to this 16-song album we are putting out at midnight entitled ‘Teenage Dixie.’

TD is a collection of stories & experiences in South Alabama. The goal of this album is to take you to the place we spent most of our lives. When you write what you know, songs just flow. There’s something in the water with this album.

We can feel it and fans can feel it. As artists, we always want to try and push the needle for y’all and we feel like we have done that with TD, and not to mention, we had an absolute blast making it with Ryan and our boys in the band.

When you stop chasing what’s popular and just start chasing what makes you happy, the real magic happens. We are so blessed to have the fans that we do and WE LOVE Y’ALL so much and couldn’t do it without y’all.

We are always going to keep the hammer down on bringing y’all the best country music we possibly can. Now let’s make this release the best one yet. We can’t wait to see what this one has in store.”

Keeping it REAL.

Ya gotta love some Muscadine Bloodline.

And “Evinrudin” is still my jam…
