Michigan High School Student Section Goes Berserk When Snow Day Is Announced During Basketball Game

Man, there was nothing better than a snow day in high school.

Having a weekday off due to snow is an indescribable feeling.

Of course, growing up in the southeast they would cancel school if there was a threat of ice being on the road, so I’m sure our “snow” days were a lot more common than what you’d see in the North and Midwest.

Considering Michigan gets pretty bone-chilling cold in the winter time, I’m sure there has to be a gnarly blizzard for school officials to call off school.

With that being said, the elusive “snow day” finally occurred for this Michigan high school, as it was called at the end of a basketball game last night…

And the student section’s reaction was NUTS.

It all went down last night at Hamilton High School, when the Hawkeyes were taking on West Catholic.

According to MIX 95.7, students were keeping a close eye on the radar all game long, and as the weather continued to look worse and worse, they started begging to the principal to call off school.

And sure enough, after the final buzzer hit and the Hawkeyes won 57-45, Hamilton’s school superintendent, Dr. Bradford Lusk, officially made the move.

All of a sudden, you see the student section begin to go bonkers jumping up and down and mash pitting as they all run towards the exit, and the guy who was broadcasting the game, Hamilton High School Sophomore Aiden Lynch, began screaming like somebody had just hit a half-court shot to win the game:

“AND LUSK CALLS A SNOW DAY!!! BREAKING NEWS!!!… NO SCHOOL FOR ME TOMORROW!!!”

And that right there, is when Hamilton High School in Michigan turned into an absolute electric factory.
