Well, yee freaking haw.
Back in 2020, La Honda Records hosted Music Break, where some great western artists teamed up for a killer half hour of music.
One of the performances was Colter Wall and Vincent Neil Emerson teaming up for “Road Runner,” which was released as a single that year and has gone on to be one of Vincent’s most popular songs.
It’s a quintessential old timey song about a life lived on the highway, bouncing around and chasing the music dream, but always having that certain someone on your mind.
“I plucked a feather from my tail
Write you a letter babe
But I can’t find a well
Ain’t got no parchment or pen
Feel like a rooster baby, without a hen
Well I’m a
Road runner
Running down that road again
Road runner
Honey catch me if you can…”
Great stuff.

Great way to start your day.
