The NHL Stadium Series is BACK.

Over the past few years, the NHL has chosen one outdoor sports stadium to host their Stadium Series event. We’ve seen it at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans, Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Eagles, and more.

And this year, they’re heading to Raleigh, North Carolina to play at NC State’s football stadium, Carter-Finley Stadium, when the Carolina Hurricanes take on the Washington Capitals this Saturday.

Each year, they’ve made it a priority to bring in a country artist (or artists) to play at these events. We’ve seen Keith Urban, and most recently Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, and Dustin Lynch perform at the Stadium Series events.

And this year, they’re back at it again, picking Jake Owen to perform.

Owen announced on social media:

“Let’s goooooo! See ya at the NHL Stadium Series game this Saturday! Catch my performance during the first intermission of the game live on ABC!”

Carter-Finley maxes out at 57,000 fans, and according to ABC 11, Steve Mayer with the NHL said it’s sold out:

“It’s one of the reasons why we play games in stadiums. Obviously 20,000 fans can go to the arena. This is a game that is boosted at 57-thousand. We’re sold out.

And it’s to bring new fans in, and to expose the sport in a way that has potentially not been exposed. We want people to come here”

Be sure to tune into ABC for Jake Owen’s performance this Saturday.

His most recent single is titled, “My Boots Miss Yours.”
