North Carolina Man Leads Police On Hour-Long (Low Speed) Chase On John Deere Tractor… Ends With A Taser

Outlaws still exist…

A police chase involving a John Deere tractor… it doesn’t get much more country than that.

And this morning in Boone, North Carolina, law enforcement officers were called out to pursue a John Deere tractor driver that had reportedly hit at least two vehicles before abandoning the scene.

According to local newspapers, scanner reports at the time also mentioned that the tractor had pushed a large dumpster into a church building.

The scene quickly turned into a chase that reached complete pandemonium when the tractor driver refused to pull over for police and spike strips had to be deployed, which still did not deter the crazed driver. Police then resorted to shooting out a back tire before the tractor reached the local Parkway School area.

The driver, then with several flat tires, made a U-turn in a nearby yard and plowed into a law enforcement car before AGAIN getting back onto the main highway.

You can’t make this stuff up…

The tractor chase lasted for over an hour, although it never breached speeds of 20 miles per hour. The driver eventually fled on foot, wielding a knife.

He was subsequently tased and arrested.

The best part is the entire thing was caught on camera by locals for your viewing pleasure!
