If you were born in the ’90s, there probably wasn’t a scarier Christmas character than the live action Grinch, played by Jim Carrey.
I mean c’mon, you’re four-years-old, watching Christmas movies with your family, and all of a sudden a massive green monster pops up on the TV screen, and he’s stealing everybody’s Christmas.
Some nightmare fuel, no doubt.
With that being said, I can’t figure out if these parents are comedic geniuses, or deserve to get the book thrown at ’em for this wild stunt.
In the video footage, you can see what appears to be a family Christmas gathering, and one of the people there dressed as Santa Claus.
You can immediately see that the young kids who are there are absolutely stoked to see Santa, and immediately run up to greet him…
However, things take a 360 turn when all of a sudden, another person comes flying down the stairs dressed in a Grinch costume, and tries to literally throw hands with Santa.
Not gonna lie, the looks on these kids’ faces are absolutely priceless.
You can see just about every single kid in the room run straight to the piano in the back of the room and crawl underneath in terror, trying to figure out what in the hell is going on here.
However, it appears that ol’ Santa got the last laugh and pushed the Grinch into the stairs, and it was ballgame after that.
