Jon Pardi Covers The Hell Out Of Alan Jackson’s Christmas Heater, “Honky Tonk Christmas”

Jon Pardi country music

Now that’s a certified Christmas banger…

Jon Pardi. covered Alan Jackson’s heater “Honky Tonk Christmas” as part of his CMT Campfire Sessions feature recently, and he brings in all sorts of fiddle-filled country goodness with his full band, acoustic performance.

The title track to Alan’s 1993 Christmas album, “Honky Tonk Christmas” is a top-tier holiday original written by Buddy Brock, Zack Turner and Kim Williams.

The narrator laments a breakup over the Christmas season, saying he’ll be spending it in a bar with ‘Pretty Paper’ on the jukebox, though the heartbreak doesn’t have him down too terribly bad, as he’s certain he’ll “be over you by New Year’s Eve.”

I know Christmas is over and done with now, but if you’re nursing a holiday heartbreak this year, Jon’s cover will do the trick if you can’t make it to your local honky tonk for a few cold beers quite yet:
