Flatland Cavalry Release Stripped Down, Acoustic Video For “If We Said Goodbye”

If you haven’t checked out Flatland Cavalry’s latest EP, Songs to Keep You Warm, I highly suggest you check it out.

It’s exactly that… a collection of songs to get you through the cold winter months, whether you’re out by a bonfire with your buddies, or spending Christmas alone this year.

It’s no secret that Flatland has a tendency to reach every ounce of emotion you have within each and every song they release, and Songs to Keep You Warm will take you on a whirlwind.

Although there ain’t a bad song on the EP, there’s one that’s quickly become a clear cut favorite of mine, and it’s “If We Said Goodbye,” and it’s quickly becoming a fan favorite in general as well.

The song is all about a tough conversation with yourself, reminiscing on the tear jerking moments where two lovers called it quits, and wondering if there was ever any closure at all.

The chorus speaks for itself:

“And I can’t remember now whose fault it was
Not that it matters anyway
You left me standing in that driveway dust
You cranked your car and drove away
And I saw it in your eyes
But I can’t recall if we said goodbye”

And speaking of “If We Said Goodbye,” the group just released a stripped down, acoustic video for the song.

The video features front man Cleto Cordero, just him and his six string playing away.
