Alright, in all seriousness it has to be incredibly confusing for a deer when they come across a decoy.
Especially if it’s a buck coming across a buck decoy in the rut, and all the real buck sees is this son of a bitch staring at him the wrong way…
That’s how 99.9% of bar fights in my hometown begin.
In this video, we have a real white tail buck that comes across a decoy sitting in somebody’s backyard in broad daylight.
More than likely, either the real buck sees this decoy as a potential threat to his future mate, or he’s simply just trying to figure out what the hell it is.
Whatever it was, the real buck was easily triggered, and he gores the decoy and sends it flying up in the air, splitting into multiple parts.
I think I’d pay a lot of money just to see what was going through the actual buck’s head in that moment, because you can tell he looks pretty damn confused when he sees the decoy basically disintegrate right in front of him.
And on top of that, you can hear the guys filming absolutely loving every second of it, as they say:
“Oh I got it all on film!”
“Shiiiiiit”
“This is mating season!”
Looks like that buck is gonna have to hunt down some competition somewhere else.
