Alaskan Brown Bear Runs Down Young Caribou From Hundreds Of Yards Away

That caribou never stood a chance.

We’ve seen a number of videos that prove that nature can be equally as brutal as it is beautiful.

Creatures have to do what they can to survive in the wild, and it times, the results can be pretty devastating…

And here’s the latest example.

In this video a couple of guys found an Alaskan brown bear chasing down a caribou in Alaska.

At the beginning of the footage, you can see that the caribou has a massive head start on the bear, and it appears that the caribou is well on its way to safety.

However, once the caribou runs into a pond, that’s when things begin to look much more dim.

The creature makes it all the way to the other side, and by this time, the bear has finally made it into the pond and still has its sights on the young caribou.

But it almost looks like the caribou didn’t realize the bear was still chasing him, or was just completely gassed, as it slows down completely.

The bear makes up a ton of ground, and is only a few yards away, and the caribou notices the creature again, and quickly takes off back into the pond in the opposite direction.

While the two are going back across the pond, the bear ultimately catches up with the caribou for good, and it ain’t pretty, as they were only a few yards away from the shoreline.

The bear drags the caribou to shore, where it continues its feast on dry land.

I must say, it’s pretty impressive watching the great stamina both of these creatures have.

I have no idea exactly how far they ran, but it looks like it was several football fields long, and over half of it was through water.

Tranquilized Bear Falls Out Of A Tree, Gets Launched By A Trampoline

An oldie, but a goodie none the less.

This is hilarious.

If you’ve never seen this classic bear encounter video from Missoula, Montana, back in 2003, you’re in for a treat. As far as viral animal videos go, it’s one of the all-time greats.

Black bears are a comical animal all around. They just love to get themselves into trouble.

With ongoing urban sprawl and there love for anything that can be considered edible, we are just going to have more and more encounters with these dangerously smart animals.

In bear territory most wildlife calls to wildlife services end up being bear complaints. Whether it’s a bear in the garbage, wondering around houses or even breaking into stuff, it happens a lot. People are scared of them, even though most times they are easily scared away.

The truth is, it is highly preventable keeping them out of your yard. Often times, if you properly store garbage and waste they will never bug you.

Sometimes though they get themselves into predicaments and have to be dealt with.

This bear clearly did just that as he climbed a tree in someone’s yard and didn’t want to come out.

Wildlife department had to be called to remove the bear., which is always a tricky situation since you want to move it without any amount of harm to the animal.

They devised a plan like never seen before. They had a trampoline underneath the tree and decided to tranquilize the bear. Idea being that the bear would pass out, fall out of the tree and land safely on the  trampoline.

Sounds like the kind of plan a bunch of kids would dream up, but hey, if it works, it works.

The agent shoots the bear with the dart, knocking the bear out cold, and subsequently out of the tree.

Really, he sticks the landing as good as he could for being completely unconscious…

The bear falls and lands on the trampoline and shoots back up into the air cartwheeling out of position and…

BOOM… he hits the ground… HARD.

Ultimately the bear was fine, and was eventually relocated to a more suitable area, but you can imagine he woke up pretty damn sore.

Like I said… an all-time CLASSIC.

And here’s a follow-up video about how they went about releasing him, as well some reactions from folks in the neighborhood:

Black Bear Ransacks Range Rover In California

Imagine being awoken by strange noises coming from your Range Rover after enjoying a Bachelorette night with your friends, and finding out that a bear spent the last 7 hours… eating your SUV.

Vicky Constantini, a Bay Area woman, left her car unlocked in the driveway of her vacation house while enjoying a weekend getaway with friends in the Gold Country community of Arnaud, in Calaveras County, California.

When she heard her car honking at 4:30 am on Saturday, September 12th, she went to investigate.

She and her friends used the key fob to open the hatch. The video posted on her TikTok account shows the bear inside her white Range Rover, climbing over the backseat, escaping through the open back door, and running into the woods:

In an interview with Fox, she describes the moment:

“ I was in disbelief. I was completely stunned. This is my… this was my Range Rover”

She continued:

“It ripped apart the dash. It was trying to get through the car. Every single door panel is destroyed. Every single seat is ripped. But the worst part was the smell.”

Costantini says that her insurance company barely believed her. Thankfully she had enough footage to prove the incident. The car was totaled, but fortunately, no one was hurt, and now she’s currently driving a rental while looking for a new vehicle.

The woman affirms that she will not leave her doors unlocked again.

Gee, ya think?

Grizzly Bear Sees Own Reflection In A Mirror For The First Time

There are some days where you roll out of bed, about still half past drunk after staying up until 4 AM with some of your buddies.

You go to the bathroom to try and recollect yourself, and you look in the mirror, and you’re looking at yourself like you had just been through warfare…

Then you go straight back to bed.

THAT, my friends, is the Sunday Scaries.

That’s the thought that keeps reoccurring in my mind when I see this hilarious video of a bear seeing his reflection for the first time in a mirror out in the woods.

In the video, you see the big ol’ grizzly bear just sniffing for scent out in the wilderness, when it is shocked to see itself looking back at him or her.

The bear goes into complete panic mode, starts jumping around, and ends up ripping the mirror off the post.

Rough night, aye?

In all seriousness, this bear doesn’t know what it looks like (there’s usually no mirrors in the woods), and was probably just ready to go to war with whatever bear is encroaching on its territory.

When it tore mirror down though, it had to be thinking to itself:

“What kind of sorcery is this?”

Also reminds me of this drunk guy trying to fight himself:

But nevertheless, the internet won again with some hilarious comments:

Black Bear Discovers A Mirror In The Woods

I’m fully convinced that bears seeing themselves in a mirror for the first time is the best thing on the internet right now.

The internet has already been taken by storm after a video of a bear looking at itself in the mirror surfaced on just about every platform imaginable, and it’s so freaked out by what it sees it starts to jump around like it’s on a trampoline, which is about the same as my reaction after looking into the mirror the morning after a long night of drinking.

Needless to say, bears aren’t used to this type of stuff, and it probably thinks it’s in hell whenever some cruel yet hilarious soul (maybe a scientist?) decides to set a mirror out in the woods.

With that being said, we have yet another bear encounter with a mirror in the woods, and it’s about equally as hilarious.

In this video, the black bear doesn’t react quite as viciously to its own reflection as the other one, and is more confused for the most part as it constantly sniffs its reflection in the mirror.

The black bear pretty much thinks it’s another bear mocking it, so it’s trying to establish dominance.

However, once the bear realizes something fishy is up, it gets terrified and jumps backwards a few feet, and gets the hell up outta there.
