Disc golf is becoming increasingly popular as courses pop up in parks all over the place. It’s a cheap alternative to golf that still requires lots of skill and consistency to actually be good.
But, far cheaper and far more accessible for people.
For myself, given the fact it would be harder to lose a frisbee than a golf ball I would be saving a whole lot of money right out of the gate.
These playing fields we make for sport creates very good habitat for many animals though. The openness creates ideal opportunities for predators to view an open area and spot out a meal.
Other animals like rabbits or deer love to come out and enjoy they nice grasses and clovers planted by the kind people who built it. This provides a valuable food source to animals living in the area.
Needless to say, if you spend any amount of time in an open field like area and you know animals live nearby, you’re going to have a good chance of seeing one.
These folks were out for a round of disc golf. The woman is up and unloads a bomb of a throw towards the basket.
As you watch the disc fly through the air and cut a little left the people kind of gasp.
Then BAM, it hits a deer… just smoked it.
The deer jumps into the air and runs away as fast as it can.
Good clean fun.
