Dog Saves Its Buddy From Being Attacked By A Bald Eagle In Alaska

@durtiesanchez

That’s one good boy.

What more can you ask from a dog? Not much, that there is a loyal protector of his own.

The sad truth is, our pets provide an easy meal many times for these predators. Especially the ones up in the sky. They can spot them out far away and hit them when no one is expecting it.

Bald eagles are a huge bird of prey, weighing in around 10-12 pounds on average and a wing span up to 7.5 feet. That’s a bird that needs to eat and knows how to get the job done.

Eagles love small mammals from foxes to marmots, so a smaller dog definitely is not out of the picture when it comes to meal time. Hell, in Asia, a golden eagle even tried to fly off with an 8 year old girl.

In rural areas, its very common to let your fury friends outside with little to no eyes on them. It’s just the way of life. The dogs are okay out there by themselves most of the time.

This was not one of those times unfortunately…

A juvenile bald eagle (why its head isn’t white) swooped in and got a death grip on a small dog… that was, until his buddy came to the rescue.

Another dog comes in and nips at the bird enough to get the other dog free and clear. And from the ground, the eagle doesn’t nearly the advantage that it does in the air.

Game over.

That’s as good as a good boy can be, right there.

British Columbia Man Wearing A Cougar Rug Scares The Crap Out Of His Dog

This is just cruel… and kinda hilarious at the same time.

For all of us with dogs, we all know that they tend to be a little skittish whenever they’re around somebody or something they’ve never seen before.

Ya know, they’re a little curious, a little scared…

But how does a dog react when it comes face to face with a cougar?

Well this family from Zeballos, British Columbia, tried to figure this out themselves with their dog, and needless to say, it’s pretty damn funny.

And how did they try this out, you may ask?

One of them snuck up on their one-year-old dog Cedar by covering themselves with a cougar rug.

They call Cedar outside, while the person in the cougar rug costume is hiding behind the truck.

Cedar starts to make its way around the front of the truck, and SHEESH.

Cedar jumps back about 15 feet, confused and startled as hell, and begins to bark, thinking that there’s actually a cougar staring right back.

A part of me thinks this is cruel, because Cedar may be scarred for life after this one, but another part of me wishes I had a cougar rug so I could mess with my own dog for a minute.

GOLD.
