At this point it’s almost redundant to say but if you’re ever at Yellowstone National Park, or any place where there’s wildlife, please stay away from any creatures that weight 2,000 pounds, especially if they’re fighting.
It seems like that would be common sense but so many people have this warped sense of reality that makes them think there’s some type of protective bubble around them because they’re human and the animals aren’t.
Which is why people end up getting gored or thrown or ran over by any number of animals at national parks, but especially bison.
Maybe it’s because they look like cows, maybe it’s because they’re fluffy, maybe it’s just that people flat out are unaware of the world, but videos like this just never cease to blow my mind with how close folks are willing to get for a picture that’s probably going to suck anyway because I doubt someone that dumb is capable of taking a decent photo.
A few months ago, yet another situation like we are so familiar with reading about nearly happened when tourists got unbelievably close to two bison that were actively fighting.
You read that right, they weren’t even acting calmly or seeming to be friendly.
THEY WERE FIGHTING AND PEOPLE STILL GOT CLOSE.
Unreal.
Fortunately these two dumbos weren’t hurt as the bisons’ attention was focused solely on each other, but it still boils my blood. Just stay away from one of the most powerful animals on the planet, it truly shouldn’t be that hard.
