Luke Combs is your 2022 CMA Entertainer of the Year.

For the second straight year, he took home top honors at the show this evening, and he was up against some stiff competition in Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen and Carrie Underwood.

He also won the award for Album of the Year for his third studio album Growin’ Up:

He gave a great speech, thanking his wife, team and fans for all of their support throughout the years, saying in part:

“Oh my goodness, um, I never, ever know what to say. I wanna thank country music for making my dreams come true.

My beautiful, beautiful wife Nicole, our beautiful four and a half month son Tex is at home right now. And this is a dream come true. There is nobody in this category that doesn’t deserve to be standing up here. And I am just so thankful…

And let me tell you one more thing about tonight, this is my fifth or sixth year being at this awards show, and country sounded more country than it has in a long time, tonight. And I think we all wanted that. I love y’all.”

Amen to that, Mr. EOTY:

A huge congratulations to my fellow Mountaineer and country superstar, Mr. Luke Combs, on such a massive accomplishment.

He’s on a rocket ship to the moon, and he clearly ain’t slowin’ down any time soon.

Luke also performed his most recent #1 hit, “The Kind Of Love We Make”:
