Ashley McBryde’s Acoustic Version Of “Jesus Jenny” Is Simply Flawless

She does it again…

I have been loving these acoustic versions that Ashley McBryde has been dropping.

From her stellar new concept album, Lindeville, she’s given fans a ton of insight into how some of these incredibly unique songs came together.

She recently released “Jesus Jenny,” which is one of my favorite songs from the album.

The song perfectly transports you to the vision of Lindeville, the small town of sinners, drinkers, cheaters, and Jesus lovers.

It takes the listener through a story of an outsider watching a woman named Jenny and all the mistakes she keeps seeing her make. The narrator clearly cares about Jenny and wants to see her make better choices and get her life together.

The lyrics are so well written, and McBryde delivers them effortlessly while also having a concern in her voice.

Her talent is truly breathtaking, and the power she wields in her voice with just an acoustic guitar is phenomenal.

It’s just… So. Damn. Good.
