Jason And Brittany Aldean Pull Off ‘Anchorman’ Spoof For Halloween: “And Stay Woke, Everyone”

Jason and Brittany Aldean always bring it on Halloween.

Last year, they dressed up as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers singing “Islands In The Stream,” and the year before that, they had the whole family dress up as characters from Tiger King.

And this year, they bumped it up another level, dressing up as characters from the Anchorman movie, Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone, played by Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate in the actual movie, respectively.

What makes it just a little bit funnier is that they’ve been at the center of quite a few big stories over the last year or so, making headlines because of Brittany’s public feud with Maren Morris, and their willingness to speak out about their political beliefs, among many other things.

They seem to be handling it pretty well, though, as they shared a new Halloween video in their costumes bringing the latest news in a spoofed segment straight from “Nashvegas.”

They cover a story about Luke Bryan eating peanut butter, Brittany hating animals even though she actually loves dogs, and another funny story about Kane Brown.

But they close it out by telling everyone to “stay woke,” taking a jab at some of the political hate they’ve received lately before signing off:

“And that’s our newscast for the night, thank you guys for tuning in. For Veronica Corningstone, this is Ron Burgundy saying stay country, Nashville.”

Brittany adds:

“And stay woke, everyone.”

I mean, I don’t think it’s necessarily a response to the “Lunatic Country Music Person” Halloween costume meme Maren shared, but you could definitely make that argument…

Check out the whole video for yourself though, it’s pretty damn good:

“Ron and Veronica here to bring you today’s completely unbiased Nashvegas news.”
