Billy Strings Lays Down Phenomenal Unplugged Performance Of “Will The Circle Be Unbroken”

Billy Strings country music

I think I’m at the point where my love for Billy Strings could be unhealthy.

Every video that I watch of him just makes me respect him as an artist even more, and most recently, his cover of the classic hymn, “Will The Circle Be Unbroken.”

After his set on the Austin City Limits Festival main stage, he took to a more intimate setting to keep the party going.

First off, I love artists that do things like this. Secondly, his energy levels are still sky-high for just having laid down a hell of a set.

He moves away from all the equipment to sing with his band with no mic. You can still hear his voice travel through the crowd as the quiet audience eats it up.

To start off the song, Strings quiets the audience and kicks off the first verse effortlessly, laying down harmonies with his band. As the chorus comes around, the audience helps him out by softly singing the melody.

After the second chorus, each band member takes a second just to let it rip on their respective instruments. Even in a classic song, Strings still has to throw in some of his jam band flares. It’s phenomenal.

A lot of artists have been covering this tune recently, and Billy Strings’ version holds the weight to be one of the greats.
