Kacey Musgraves Covers Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” At Austin City Limits Festival

I’m always here for a little Kaceyoke.

Texas native Kacey Musgraves headlined the Sunday night show at the Austin City Limits festival this past weekend, as she went through some of her biggest hits and a few newer tunes from her 2021 Star-Crossed album.

And around the 56:30 mark, she covered Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams,” putting the lyrics on the screen behind her and telling the massive crowd to sing along, saying:

“How ’bout a little Kaceyoke?

We’re gonna put the words up here, so there’s no excuse for you not to sing your best.”

I mean, I think that song is one of the universal crowd-pleasers no matter which genre of music is your favorite, and I always enjoy hearing her cover songs outside of her own catalog because it’s not something she does super often.

“Dreams” was included on Fleetwood Mac’s iconic 1977 Rumours album, and reached the #1 spot on the Billboard U.S. Hot 100 chart later that same year.

And I don’t think her outfit could’ve been any more perfect for that song choice, with her big 70’s hair and paisley set.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we need her to cut this one in the studio…
