Dale Jr. Presents Luke Combs With ‘Artist Of The Year’ Award, Riley Green Honors Him By Singing “The Kind of Love We Make”

Luke Combs country music

Luke Combs was honored with the very well-deserved CMT Artist of the Year award tonight.

And though he couldn’t make it to be there in person, as he had previously committed to performing at the Dale Earnhardt Jr. foundation Driven To Give 2022 fundraiser event, he still accepted the speech from that party.

Dale Jr. introduced Luke straight from his Western town Whiskey River in Mooresville, North Carolina, where they held the event, and Luke kept his acceptance speech short and sweet, saying:

“Thank you CMT, thank you so much for this. I love you guys.

All the country music fans, my wife, my son, all my songwriting buddies, everybody on my team, I love you guys. Thank you so much.”

And also, I need to know where Luke got that hat…

His friend Riley Green, who’s opening up for him on his already record-setting 2023 World Tour, honored Luke with a cover of his #1 hit, “The Kind of Love We Make,” from the show in Nashville.

As if the song wasn’t already steamy enough, ladies, amirite…
