Watch A Young Ryan Bingham Performing “Tell My Mother I Miss Her So” At The Historic Gruene Hall

Hands down one of my favorite Ryan Bingham song.

“Tell My Mother I Miss Her So” appeared on Bingham’s second studio album, Roadhouse Sun, released in 2009.

The upbeat song discusses a traveler making his way around the world and the adventures he encounters along the way.

It’s damn catchy, and the fiddle riff after the chorus will get caught in your head for weeks.

One of my favorite video performances is from 2013, where Bingham sang it at the historic Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, TX. Built in 1878, Gruene Hall is the oldest operating dance hall and music venue in Texas. The small stage in this intimate venue allows artists to put on one heck of a show.

If you ever have a chance to see a show here, do it. They pull some big names, and you know artists will always give top-notch performances when here.

Bingham does just that when he graced the stage in 2013.

The video is shot with a sepia filter, which makes you feel like you have stepped back in time.

“Y’all ready to stomp your feet a little bit? It’s time to get those hardwood floors warmed up!”

Bingham says as he kicks off the song.

From the jump, the band and Bingham bring the heat. The stage is full of energy as he belts out the lyrics and his fiddle player lays it DOWN.

At the song’s end, they are all picking and playing with such force to wrap it up, you can feel the electricity through the screen.

This video embodies the meaning of burning the house down.
