Full Size Shark Is Reeled Up Onto Texas Fishing Pier: “Craziest Thing I’ve Ever Seen On A Pier”

Shark

My goodness, this is equally awesome and absolutely terrifying.

Pier fishing at the shore is a rite of passage and the situation typically unfolds as follows.

A family goes on a beach vacation. A kid sees people fishing on the pier and says they want to fish too. Dad says no, kid asks again, dad says no, kid asks a third time and dad caves.

Dad and kid walk 6 blocks in the blazing summer heat up the boardwalk from the hotel, cough up way too much money for a rented fishing pole and some near rotten squid, and get your line nibbled on by some tiny fish for about a half hour until the kid says they’re bored and want to go back to the beach.

But what if that kid happens to hook one of the scariest predators on the planet instead of some little nothing fish?

Well, I don’t know if that’s exactly what happened here, but we know it’s at least a possibility from some crazy photos and footage that came out a little while back.

Christopher Cls Smith, a YouTube who goes by AdVenture Bro Fishing, posted a picture of one of the wildest sights you’ll ever see on a fishing pier.

large shark being hauled straight up out of the water…

“This is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen on a fishing pier!”

It’s obviously hard to tell, but it appears to be a bull shark, which grow to 7 to 8 feet and upwards of 200lbs.

While Christopher was worried if the shark would be able to be released unharmed, those fears were alleviated when the group decided to keep it, as there is no season, and each angler is allowed one per day.

They split the meat up between all of the helpers, he told MySanAntonio.

Can you imagine the look on their faces when this guy hit the line? Pure adrenaline baby.

Remember this next time you’re out swimming in the ocean. You just never know how close you are to a monster…
