Yep, this looks insane.

Netflix has officially unveiled the trailer for the upcoming Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan limited series, The Watcher, slated to drop on October 13th.

The limited series is based off a true story about a stalker who preys on a family in their New Jersey home, and boy, this is nightmare fuel.

According to Deadline, the series will star Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale as Maria and Derek Brannock, as they move into their dream home.

However, things get weird quick when they begin to receive strange, creepy letters from someone who claims to be “The Watcher.”

This begins when the neighborhood’s dark history begins to leak, and the Brannocks’ dream home quickly becomes a nightmare.

Other stars include Margo Martingale, Jennifer Coolidge, Terry Kinney, and Mia Farrow.

The series is based off the story of a couple who bought a 1905 Dutch colonial revival home in New Jersey for a whopping $1.4 million, when they eventually had to abandon the house after they continuously received letters from somebody who claimed to be watching them.

One of the notes read:

“I am the Watcher. Bring me your young blood”

Netflix landed the rights to The Watcher in December of 2018 after a bidding battle with six other studios.

As insane as this sounds, what freaks you out is that it could happen to anybody. I mean, some lunatic just quietly stalking you, not hyper aggressive, but just enough to make you constantly live in fear…. hell no.

I don’t wanna watch this series, but I totally wanna watch this series.
