Watch Blackberry Smoke Get Down With Live Performance Of “Good One Comin’ On”

Blackberry Smoke country music

Happy Sunday y’all.

There is no better song to kick off your Sunday Funday than “Good One Comin’ On.”

I grew up listening to the original of this song recorded by Trent Willmon off of his album, A Little More Livin’.

I remember clear as day hearing this song for the first time. I was going to pick up a horse when I was about 13 out in the boonies, and my horse trainer put his album on in the truck. She went on to tell the story about how she and Willmon were buds from years of team roping… team ropers know half the people on this Earth, I’m convinced.

Since then, this song has been a constant on most of my playlists.

As I grew up and discovered country rock, the Blackberry Smoke version was introduced to me. They recorded and released this song on their 2009 Little Pieces of Dixie album

Blackberry Smoke’s version quickly became a favorite as they still take it on the road. I mean, it’s a damn good song; you would be crazy to pull it from a setlist.

My YouTube suggested was reading my mind this morning that I needed to see this video. The band is getting DOWN performing this song earlier this summer in Orlando, Florida.

These guys know how to put on a hell of a show and get the crowd going.

Lead singer Charlie Starr keeps the crowd going by engaging with the other members of the band in between verses. When his guitar solo goes around, he just lets it rip.

Start off your morning right with a good little jam session by watching this video… it gets the mood right.

Here is the version from Trent Willmon too.
