Alabama Man Finds Big Ol’ Rat Snake In His Toilet

Snake toilet

Imagine being in the comfort of your home, on your way to see a man about a horse, when you look at the toilet bowl and see a massive… snake.

This last week, the Alabama police department reported that a giant rat snake was removed from local homeowners’ toilet.

This unexpected encounter happened in Eufaula, Alabama, and Barbour County resident was not the only one surprised. He called the local police department who came to the rescue, and afterwards posted images to their Facebook page with a caption that read:

“We never know from one day to the next what kind of call we will receive during our shift. Today was no exception, however a snake in the toilet wasn’t on our list of possibilities.

Day shift removed the unwelcomed visitor and released it to a more suitable habitat. The snake was a harmless Gray Rat Snake.

In the snakes defense, he was just trying to reach the homeowner about their car’s extended warranty”

The post has thousands of comments and shares; some confessing to never using the toilet at night without a flashlight.

A rat snake is a nonvenomous species that is often found in the wild. The snake is not considered to be a threat to humans, but its large size is certainly alarming.

The police department has not released any information about how the snake ended up in the toilet, and the intimidating visitor was released to a “suitable habitat” nearby.

Though hopefully not close enough for it to come back “home”.
