Luke Combs Scores 14th #1 Single With “The Kind of Love We Make”

Luke Combs country music

Has anybody checked on Luke Combs?

He’s had what I would imagine is one of the best weekends of his life, as he joined the boys of College GameDay to be the celebrity guest picker at his alma mater in Boone, North Carolina, Appalachian State University.

Not only did he crush that, but the Mountaineers won in heart-pounding fashion against Troy with an insane walk-off Hail Mary touchdown with two seconds left in the game to secure a 32-28 victory.

And as of this morning, Luke just scored his 14th #1 single at country radio with “The Kind of Love We Make,” from his third studio album, Growin’ Up.

“The Kind of Love We Make” took the top spot on the Mediabase country chart this weekend, which is one of two charts labels use to officially track their songs performance (along with the Billboard Country Airplay chart).

And if he can manage to get it to the top of the Country Airplay chart in the next few weeks or so, it would mark his 14th straight #1 single there.

I mean, talk about an all-time weekend:

“‘The Kind of Love We Make’ by @lukecombs is officially the #1 song on the Mediabase country chart this week.

Luke’s 14th career number one hit at country radio and 15th overall (‘Cold Beer Calling My Name’).”

The song, a sweet, sappy song about doing the deed (if you couldn’t tell by the title), and was co-written by Luke along with The Brothers Hunt, Jamie Davis and Dustin Nunley.

A massive congratulations to the man himself on yet another #1… this train ain’t slowin’ down anytime soon.
