Now this is cool.

It was just announced that the kickass trio consisting of native Kentuckians including Chris Stapleton, Tyler Childers and Dwight Yoakam are teaming up for a benefit concert to aid eastern Kentucky flood victims.

Back in August, parts of eastern Kentucky were hammered with rain, causing catastrophic flooding that left 39 people dead as a result.

It also left many homes, roadways and other infrastructure completely destroyed, and we saw Tyler and Chris both step up in different ways to help out their home state in the days immediately following the flooding.

This Kentucky Rising benefit concert is a special, one-night-only show that will be held at Lexington’s Rupp Arena on October 11th.

100% of net proceeds from the concert will benefit the “Kentucky Rising Fund” to support flood relief work and recovery efforts in Eastern Kentucky, including support for the many victims, their families and first responders.

Chris shared the announcement in a post on his Instagram:

“JUST ANNOUNCED: #KentuckyRising, a benefit concert to support those in Eastern Kentucky who have been impacted by the recent & catastrophic flooding. Featuring Chris Stapleton, Dwight Yoakam, and Tyler Childers.

Tickets on sale Friday, September 16. Visit KentuckyRising.com for more information.

It’s some of the best country music in the world benefiting a fantastic cause, so if you’re close enough to make it to the show, this will certainly be an incredible, can’t-miss event:
