Chick-Fil-A Under Fire For Saying “Your Community” In Response To Customer’s Spicy Nugget Question

Gotta love social media these days…

Chick-Fil-A is currently under fire for a recent tweet their social media account sent out on Friday.

According to the New York Post, a black customer asked a question about spicy chicken nuggets:

“Grilled spicy deluxe but still noooo spicy nuggets.”

The chicken sandwich chain responded:

“Your community will be the first to know if spicy items are added to the permanent menu, Don!”

The response garnered a ton of responses, sparking that it may have been racially charged:

However, Chick-Fil-A responded with a statement, noting that they were referring to the local chains in their area, and had no racially charged intent behind the message:

“The response was a poor choice of words but was not intended in any way to be insensitive or disrespectful.

We often use the term ‘community’ in a broader sense to talk about places where we operate restaurants and serve the surrounding community.”

Don himself chimed in later saying that he just wants some damn spicy nuggets:
