Eric Church Releases Studio Video For “Lone Wolf,” A Cut From His Newly Released ‘&’ EP

Eric Church country music

The wait was finally over when Eric Church released from his three piece Heart & Soul album a couple of weeks back.

It’s the third and final chapter to what will probably go down as Chief’s most historic album to date, with a combined 24 songs, each written and recorded in the same day during a month long retreat in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

The album was released to the fan club only when the album initially came out, and then recently, made available to the public.

Speaking of &, there is one song that truly grabs your attention in my opinion, tugging at every heartstring you’ve got…

And it’s “Lone Wolf.”

It’s a song about how Church has always been an outsider his whole life, keeping to himself and answering to nobody but him, until he found the love of his life.

The acoustic driven song captivates you from the very beginning, but it’s Church’s vocals in the chorus that pulls the whole song together, when he sings:

“Now this lone wolf is done runnin’ down the moon
In the daylight dark of the night this heart is howlin’ for you
Yeah, this lone wolf ain’t lonely anymore
‘Cause you weren’t afraid to reach out and save a lone wolf at your door”

This just might be my favorite song from every song on Heart & Soul combined, and I keep finding myself going back to it on my playlist.

And on top of that, Church dropped the studio video to “Lone Wolf” today.

Check out Church recording the song in the studio, and hanging out with the band.
