Your family decides to take a trip to the lake to get in some quality time enjoying the sunshine and fresh air.
As a kid, you’re fired up. What could possibly be better than getting a green light to throw rocks, fish, play in mud, and pretty much do whatever your heart desires? It’s a dream come true.
Well, that is until you realize you’re expected to actually get in the lake, which can be a little more daunting than expected, as this kid in Texas recently found out.
Standing on the dock with his mom next to him, strapped up with a life vest, he seemingly just cannot find the courage to take that little leap.
I get it. The first time I was in this situation I probably did something very similar… I mean the water looks great from a far, but when you see the brownish color, seaweed and remember that’s where the slimy fish you’ve been catching live, you start to wonder if you should be in it.
We won’t even talk about the shock of lake muck hitting your feet for the first time when you go to the bottom…
Back to the kid in Texas, who needs multiple countdowns and encouragement from his parents to finally make the leap.
It’s truly adorable.
Fortunately, this kid finally makes the jump and while he seems a little shocked getting out, you can tell it’s going to be a long day of jumping in, swimming to the stairs, climbing up and then jumping right back in.
