Dylan Wheeler Teams Up With Blacktop Mojo For Impressive Rendition Of Audioslave’s “Getaway Car”

A man with a Dylan Wheeler country music

It’s no secret that Dylan Wheeler could sing the ingredients on the back of a shampoo bottle, and it would be incredibly powerful.

The Texas country rocker has quickly made a name for himself as arguably one of the best vocalists in all of the Texas music scene, and… he’s only just getting started.

With that being said, Wheeler recently teamed up with the Texas rock band Blacktop Mojo, a group that’s been a mainstay in the Texas music scene since 2012 (they may have the best cover of Aerosmith’s “Dream On” I’ve ever heard).

They released a kickass new cover of “Getaway Car” by the rock band Audioslave, and it’s a perfect display of the incredible vocals from both Wheeler, and Blacktop Mojo’s front man Matt James.

Written by Chris Cornell, “Getaway Car” was released on Audioslave’s debut, self-titled studio album in 2002.

“Well settle down I won’t hesitate
To hit the highway
Before you lay me to waste, no
Settle up and I’ll help you find
Something to drive
Before you drive me insane”
