HBO Releases Official Trailer For ‘Game Of Thrones’ Prequel Series, ‘House Of The Dragon’

HBO House of the Dragon

As we patiently await the release of the Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon, which is slated to premiere on August 21, the hit TV show continues to keep us on the edge of our seat as they released a brand new official trailer for the show today.

The prequel series made by George R.R. Martin, Ryan Condal, and Miguel Sapochnik is based off of Martin’s book Fire & Blood, and tells the story of the House of Targaryen, set 200 years before Game of Thrones.

Starring Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, Paddy Considine as King Viserys, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, and more, the new trailer gives us a badass look at what’s to come.

The trailer features a ton of battle, and a deep-cutting statement that a:

“Woman would never inherit the Iron Throne.”

The trailer of course features the dragons, but there’s one in particular that could pose the biggest threat to the house out of all of them combined.

HBO released the trailer right in time for its first big-time appearance at Comic-Con, where Martin and the cast of the House of the Dragon will all be at the panel at Hall H.
