Kentucky Man On A Tractor Leads Police On A Chase Through A Golf Course

Possum, is that you?

A Kentucky man is in hot water after leading police on an unconventional chase earlier this week.

According to WSAZ, the low-speed chase took place in Berea, Kentucky after police attempted to stop Jarod Wherle on his tractor at an intersection. But as the officer approached, Wherle gunned it (as much as you can gun a tractor I guess) and reportedly almost ran over the officer.

Officers pursued Wherle, who led them through several yards and on to a local golf course. But according to witnesses, the chase came to an end after Wherle was tazed and taken into custody.

The chase reportedly caused several thousand dollars in damage, and Wherle was ultimately taken to the Madison County Detention Center and booked on 8 separate charges, including wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading, and criminal mischief.

Gotta think there are better ways to make your great escape than on a tractor…

I guess these high gas prices have everybody looking for new ways to get around – even if it’s farm equipment.
