A 10-Song Introduction To The Great Brent Cobb

Brent Cobb should be on your radar ASAP if he’s not already.

I discovered him after the release of his 2020 album Keep ‘Em on They Toes, and with his recent single that will appear on John Anderson’s tribute album, Something Borrowed, Something New; A Tribute to John Anderson, I think it is just time to give a proper introduction to his amazing discography.

The Georgia-born artist has been around the scene for quite some time and has an amazing song-writing background. He has written for artists like Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, The Oak Ridge Boys, and others.

With a handful of records, including a Gospel record, Cobb combines vivid storytelling with catchy melodies, that smooth, yet swampy vocal ability, and songwriting that hits home for the everyday person.

You’re not gonna get a lot of bells and whistles with Cobb, just good old fashioned meat and potatoes country music that has a whole lotta soul baked in.

Here’s a few of my favorites to get you started:

10. “Keep ‘Em On They Toes”

9. “Wild And Blue”

8. “In the Garden”

7. “Shut Up and Sing”

6. “Black Bottle”

5. “Bar, Guitar, and a Honky Tonk Crowd”

4. “High In The Country”

3. “Glad To Be Here (feat. Brent Cobb)” by Hailey Whitters

2. “Hold Me Closely”

1. “Feet Off The Ground (feat. Jade Bird)”
