Luke Combs has already had quite the 2022 thus far, as he’s released his third studio album, Growin’ Up, which has already seen a lot of success in only a few short weeks.

His radio single off the album, “The Kind of Love We Make,” has quickly become a fan favorite, and even reached number one on the Country Airplay chart.

With that being said, he recently sat down for an interview with Billboard, where he discussed his writing process, the new album, life in general, and everything in between.

However, perhaps the most intriguing part of the interview was when he talked about the success he’s seen so far in his career, and how, despite the rising cost of goods, and perhaps more importantly for a touring musician, fuel, ticket prices will not be going up.

“It’s going to cost me a lot, but all I wanted to do is make a living doing music. And I make enough money to not have to worry about anything and be really comfortable, so I don’t ever want to get greedy.

It’s more competitive out there than it’s ever been, so it’s two-fold for me: I get to go, ‘Hey fans, I love you. I’m not going to gouge you,’ and it’s about a full room, it’s not about making money.

I didn’t get into it to be Jeff Bezos and be the richest guy in the world.”

For now, the man is on top of the world in mainstream country music, and with the rabid fanbase he’s garnered over his few short years, he’s not slowing down anytime soon.

Stay classy Luke.

Luke Combs Says He’ll Skip The Night Nurse With New Baby

And while Luke might talk like a buddy you went to high school with, he lives it too.

Luke Combs and his wife, Nicole, welcomed a baby boy named Tex Lawrence Combs on Father’s Day.

He recently said the number one piece of advice he’s received from some of his friends is that he should hire a night nurse (basically a nanny who takes care of the baby at night so the parents can sleep).

If you’re not familiar, they are quite costly and generally regarded as something only wealthy people can afford. We’re talking easily over a $1,000 dollars per week.

And he said no:

“The number-one thing I’ve heard is… gosh, what do they call it, a night nurse? That’s a thing I’ve heard about.

That’s a thing that I’ve heard about, which I was just completely unaware of that existing. You know, I think we’re gonna give it a run for a while and just kind of do it on our own.”

He also added that he feels like, since they brought the child into the world, they should be the ones to be taking care of him in all aspects of his little life right now:

“This child didn’t have a choice to be born. You know, it was our choice to bring him into the world.

So I think it would be super selfish of me to go, ‘Oh, now I don’t have time to do this thing.’ And I think trying to do that on our own is something that we’re looking forward to.”

Though he did joke that, after a few weeks of not sleeping, he might have a bit of a different perspective.

Luke and Nicole have already said they plan to keep everything with Tex pretty private, and understandably so, but Nicole has posted a few photos of their sweet little guy over on Instagram.

And while she admitted in the caption that she isn’t sleeping much with a newborn baby at home, she looks incredible to have just had a baby and little Tex is just precious:
