Tragic.

The Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office has officially ruled that former Dallas Cowboys running back, Marion Barber III, died of heat stroke

According to the autopsy report obtained by USA Today, Barber was working out in “sauna-like conditions” in his apartment when he suffered a heat stroke and died.

The thermostat was set to 91 degrees, the heat was on, and workout equipment was present in the apartment as well.

Police noted that Barber “was known to have a history of medical problems and mental health concerns,” however Baber showed no signs of trauma, drug overdose, or a medical condition, that would’ve caused his death according to the autopsy.

Police found him in the shower with the water running after a tenant reported a leak coming from his unit.

Just an absolute tragic accident.

Drafted out of the University of Minnesota in 2005, Barber played six seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, rushing for more than 4,000 yards and 47 touchdowns. He spent his final season with the Chicago Bears in 2011.
