Sundy Best Announces Next Single, “Above Ground”

Wanting new music from Sundy Best? Well you’re in luck…

Their next single “Above Ground” is set to be released on July 27.

The Prestonburg, Kentucky duo of Nicholas Jamerson and Kristofer Bentley began playing music together in high school before later forming Sundy best in 2010. Before they broke up in 2018, the duo had released several albums and become known for songs like “Hindman,” “Painted Blue.” and “I Wanna Go Home.”

In 2020, the iconic Kentucky duo announced they were getting the band back together.

Back in February they released gospel-inspired “Walk in Faith” with Mac Powell, their first single since the break up. They followed that up with “Right on Time” in April, and have now announced their plans for the next release on Instagram.

While I don’t believe Sundy Best has announced any plans for an album or EP or anything, you’d have to think these singles are probably leading to a larger project. I sure hope so, at least.

Either way, we definitely have “Above Ground” to look forward to.

Here is “Right on Time” if you haven’t heard it yet.

And my personal favorite Sundy Best tune, “Hindman.”

And Nick and Kris recently stopped by the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast for a great conversation, so make sure you check that out while you’re here too:
