Yesterday, we were hit with the heartbreaking news that Travis Barker, drummer for punk rock band Blink-182 and probably the most well-known/well respected drummers in the world, was rushed to the hospital.

Although at the time there were no details released about why he was being sent to the hospital, Barker tweeted out:

“God save me”

His 16-year-old daughter, Alabama, also asked for prayers on social media.

With that being said, we now know the reason why Barker was rushed to the hospital.

According to Page Six, he was hospitalized for pancreatitis.

The 46-year-old was originally sent to West Hills Hospital and Medical Center, but was later transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The outlet says that Barker’s pancreas became inflamed after a recent colonoscopy procedure, with symptoms that include nausea, stomach pain, and vomiting. And while acute pancreatitis can be severe and life threatening, most cases tend to subside in about a week or so.

It is unknown how severe his condition is at this time.

Kardashian or other family members have not yet spoken out about the hospitalization, however, he was spotted being wheeled out of an ambulance in Los Angeles with his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, by his side.
