Morgan Wallen’s 2021 double album, Dangerous, just keeps smashing records.

And now, it’s become the second longest running Top 10 album on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart since Nielsen started tracking data with SoundScan in 1991.

With 73 nonconsecutive weeks on that chart, it puts him only second to Adele with her 21 album, which has spent 84 nonconsecutive weeks on the Top 200 chart so far.

He surpasses Alanis Moissette’s 1995 Jagged Little Pill to take second place all-time:

Dangerous also became the best-selling album of 2021 (in any genre), the only country album to ever spend its first 10 weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, and broke pretty much every other streaming record in the book.

The album notably came in at #9 on the Top 10 Global Album All Format Chart for 2021, the only country album in the top 10 among mostly other pop artists. Figured by the IFPI, the number is calculated considering album sales that encompasses all streaming, physical copies, and digital downloads to get a fair measurement on which records were the top sellers from each given year.

He previously broke the record held by Taylor Swift’s Fearless for the most weeks in the top 10 for a country album when Dangerous surpassed 60 weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 albums chart back in March.

Morgan is currently out on the road on an extensive headlining tour across the country, and has released several new songs over the last couple months, including “You Proof,” “Thought You Should Know,” and “Don’t Think Jesus.”

Regardless of what you think about Morgan or his music, it’s pretty insane and unprecedented for a country artist to be breaking these kinds of records and consistently holding their own in so many mainstream categories with massive popstars, like the aforementioned Adele, for example.

He also most recently won Top Country Male Artist in his return to the Billboard Music Awards last month.
