Massive Sturgeon Comes Fully Out Of Water, Nearly Sinking Fisherman’s Kayak

A boat with a rope attached to it

Talk about a thrill of a catch.

It’s always fun to have a fish your fighting come clear out of the water and showcase its power and if you’re lucky… it’s size.

Sturgeon are not different.

Just one cool fish… these prehistoric looking monsters will grow huge, they look amazing and they have no problem flying right out of the water when they’re fighting hard on the end of a line.

I’d watch one of these bad boys get caught any day of the week. However, I’d watch this one twice.

Two kayak fishermen set out in pursuit of large sturgeon in this video, and as they hit the water, one them hooks into their target.

As they man gets it in close to the boat it comes clear out of the water almost landing on (and quite possibly sinking) the kayak.

Talk about a close call… that thing could have flipped the kayak in a second if it had of made direct contact.

“OH MY GOD, HOLY SH*T… WOAHHH!”

I mean, what else is there to say when something like that happens? I would just repeat those phrases for a half an hour or so trying to comprehend what is happening.

That’s a fishing story for the ages and to have it all on video…

Beauty of a fish, too.

“This monster sturgeon measured 8ft long and 42″ around with an estimated weight of about 300lbs. After measurements were taken we safely released the sturgeon to fight another day.”

Kayak Fisherman Hooks More Than A Shark…

OUCH…

Who wants to have a fish hook stuck in them?

As someone who has experienced it, I’ll just say… not me.

It’s bound to happen when you spend a lot of time tying on hooks and catching fish, but this situation seems to be extremely unfortunate though.

This fisherman in a kayak, not only has a shark that is completely tangled up in line but also has the treble hook right through his thumb…

At least he is with a buddy who can help… right after he gets the video of the situation. Because… priorities.

The man taking the video seems to be enjoying the situation as much as we can sitting at home watching.

“We got Eric, yeah?

We’ve got a shark on his lap and he’s got a treble hook right through his finger. Good one, Eric, well done”

I have to say if that was my buddy, I would be half mad he was taking a video instead of helping me out.

Only question I have now is how long did it take to get that shark untangled?
